Super is now a tax dodge for the rich. The top 20% pocket over half the tax breaks. Super tax concessions will soon cost more than the age pension. The poorest run down their balances, the wealthiest grow theirs. This isn’t retirement policy, it’s a wealth shelter.

Labor holds 94 seats its highest ever and the 2nd highest % win in history. Do you seriously think they’d lose 19 seats in 2028 to Sussan Ley, just for scrapping NG & CGT discounts? That’d require a 33-seat Coalition gain something only Fraser pulled off in 1975. Even Howard didn’t.

Transparency, honesty, and accountability are the foundations of good governance, ethical leadership, and trust. Labor continues to promise property affordability but when will wages finally rise well above property prices, or will housing values need to fall to fix this imbalance?

Facing the figures: Australia’s housing affordability continues to worsen. Labor has pledged to address this, and while they still have three years, their current approach appears too passive for such a deep-rooted crisis. Bolder, more aggressive action is urgently needed to deliver real change.

A tiny tax tweak affecting <1% with $3M+ in super gets a media storm, proving how any serious reform by Labor or anyone else gets crushed. Boomers don’t care they had it good and leave unaffordable housing, mass immigration, and debt for younger Aussies to fix. They vote to grow their current wealth

In 2020, the average age for first-home buyers in Australia was 36 up from 25 in the 1970s. At this rate, it could hit 40 by 2030. That’s not just bad, it delays families, reduces birth rates, and weakens national stability. A housing system failing its people trickles into every part of society.

Australia’s housing crisis isn’t just a social issue, it’s an economic one. According to the Productivity Commission and Grattan Institute, housing shortages and planning restrictions are shrinking our economy by 1.5–2% of GDP that’s tens of billions lost every year.

Young Australians now need 13 times their annual salary to buy a home in Sydney, with housing affordability at its worst level in 50 years. Incomes have failed to keep pace with inflation and prices, leaving an entire generation locked out of the market as the crisis worsens.

Young people want affordable homes; older owners want rising property values. But you can’t have both. This clash fuels a growing generational divide. Policies that protect wealth hurt access. Until we face this contradiction, neither side will truly get what they want. Both can’t win.

Australia is the least affordable housing market in the entire world. Will Labor improve this? I’m doubtful now. 6 years is plenty of time to at least make some progress and positive changes. Let’s see.

Why do older Australians complain that young people aren’t having kids, yet vote against affordable housing making it harder to settle down and start families? Then they complain about immigration, even though it’s needed to grow the population. Without housing security, people delay having kids…

Why are there 2–3 bedroom houses (not apartments) in Melbourne listed for $600k–$750k just 20–30km from the CBD? What’s the catch; are these areas unsafe, poorly built new estates, lacking infrastructure, or just low-growth suburbs? In Sydney this is impossible.
